ASHA or Acredited Social Health Activist are women health activists from the grassroots trained by the National Health Mission as a first stop for the health & wellbeing of women and children, especially from deprived sections of India. An Asha Behen’s primary responsibility is to provide information and support during vaccination drives of new born children in the community alongside maintaining meticulous records of every child’s inoculation schedule.
