Asha Bahu: ASHA or Acredited Social Health Activist are women health activists from the grassroots trained by the National Health Mission as a first stop for the health & wellbeing of women and children, especially from deprived sections of India. An Asha Bahu’s primary responsibility is to provide information and support on health issues to women during their pregnancy and post-partum.
